Osimhen is excellent in his prime, having steered Napoli of Italy to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.

Cristiano Ronaldo puts own private jet up for sale

By Muhammad Sabiu

Former Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who currently plays for Saudi side Al Nassr, has put his private jet up for sale.

Al Nassr, in a short post on its official Facebook page, made the Portugal legend’s decision known.

The post reads, “CR7 decides to get rid of his private plane, the Gulfstream G200, which he bought in 2015, at a price of 23 million euros 💵 ✈️”.

However, the proposed price of the plane has not been revealed as of the time of filing this report.

Recall that Ronaldo left his former club Manchester United after a controversial interview with Piers Morgan in which he fiercely criticised the club and accused its management of “betraying” him.

By Muhammadu Sabiu

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric is reportedly in talks with Cristiano Ronaldo’s present club, Al Nasr, in the hope of making a move to the Middle East.

Modric’s contract with Real Madrid is said to come to an end this summer, and there are no signs that Los Blancos are interested in extending the stay of the Croatian international.

A Saudi news outlet was quoted as reporting that Al Nassr are also interested in bringing the one-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Modric left Tottenham for Real Madrid in 2012, and he has been able to gather 22 trophies and other individual awards over the period of his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Why men flirt with waitresses in hotels?

By Hamid Al-hassan Hamid

I read a post this morning by one of our sisters, where she was asking if it is a “written rule” that men would flirt with waitresses at hotels and restaurants.

Well… the main reason why hotels and restaurants employ females as waitresses is for the undeniable fact that we all know, which is to attract and hook men’s attention. PERIOD!!!

And if you are a woman, with such kind of job, put it at the back of your mind that your qualification is likely the last thing that was considered. Your ability to attract men to the business and enchant them to spend more money is top on the list. The only exception where your qualification will be put into consideration is in the educational and health sector. Other than that, almost all banks, hotels, restaurants, law firms, offices, and businesses employ women to attract men.

It is a wise business strategy too, because men are the top earners in societies, and women hate women. Only men love women. This is one of the reasons why female patients prefer male gynaecologists to female gynaecologists. The female patients in various literatures made it clear that female gynaecologists are usually rude and roughly handle their boxes during examinations, unlike the men who are more caring. And why wouldn’t a man be so, there!

I always tell women to never get comfortable with any man, including myself. I had to protect myself, I do not even chat with women unless it is totally necessary because if I chat with you for at least two days in a row, I am going to start preaching the gospel before I even know it and speaking in tongues. This is what we are built for and why we exist.

I also don’t attend functions, or even so-called tech and business meetups, I do not show up in public unless it is totally necessary. Ask anyone in Sudan if they know my girlfriend. Even the Nigerian community in Sudan have approached and begged me to at least date one girl.

Anyways, at functions, or so-called tech meetups, even when I attend, I try to mind my business, ignore women and just do my things. But the thing is that ignoring women attracts women. Yes. I have had women in Niqaab approaching me and asking why I am not talking and moving around like the rest of the people around me. Let alone women wearing jeans and skirts, those ones will straight up come over, close my laptop and ask why I am being too serious.

Women are very funny. Stay at home, they will not stay at home, they go out and they complain that men are looking at them. Before nko, who or wetin you wan make dem look?

Lowering your gaze will only work for a few seconds in public, especially if you meetup frequently, she will eventually approach you and ask if you have a pencil that needs sharpening.

Some of us go to school, but we find it difficult to research basic human behaviour. I mention research at least to those of us stupid to not understand reality but would at least respect scientific research.

Can Arsenal be stopped?

By Aliyu Yakubu Yusuf

Arsenal are far and away the best English Premier League team so far this season. Of course, football is always a team game, but whenever I look at Arsenal, I realise that their title aspiration rests on the form and fitness of five players: Saliba, Zinchenko, Partey, Odegaard, Saka and Jesus.

So far, Arsenal have been lucky with injuries. Their only casualty is Gabriel Jesus, for whom Eddie Nketiah has deputised admirably. But can Arsenal fare well if (or rather when) injuries strike? This is where squad depth comes in handy.

As it stands, Mikel Arteta relies heavily on his preferred starting lineup featuring Ramsdale, White, Gabriel, Saliba, Partey, Xhaka, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli and Jesus (Nketiah). If (and it’s a big IF) this group stays healthy and firing on all cylinders, Arsenal will walk away with the English Premier League title.

But has there ever been a coach whose preferred starting lineup stays healthy and firing throughout the season? Well, I don’t know any. So the onus is on Arteta to extract good performances from the likes of Tomiyasu, Tierney, Smith-Rowe, Lokonga, Vieira and Holding. If these fringe players follow the footstep of Nketiah, then Arsenal will be home and dry.

My conclusion is that if Arsenal are ever going to be stopped, it is going to be because of a lack of squad depth. If they are lucky with injuries, then the rest of the Premier League should just aim to be the best of the rest.

Veteran actor ‘Papa Ajasco’ is dead

By Ahmad Deedat Zakari

Veteran Nollywood actor, Femi Ogunrombi, famously known as Papa Ajasco, has passed away.

The news of his demise was announced by a theatre practitioner, Husseini Shaibu, via his Twitter handle on Sunday.

He tweeted, “I have just been reliably informed that the ethnomusicologist, former Music Instructor with #NATIONALTROUPE and one time stand in for the ‘Papa Ajasco’ character on the popular #waleadenugaprod comic series ‘Papa Ajasco’ Mr. Femi Ogunrombi is dead.”

Rahama Sadau is just a western copycat

By Aliyu Nuhu

Rahama Sadau has not hidden the fact that she is a cultural and religious rebel. But the laws guarantee her freedom, Nigeria is not Iran. So why bother yourselves about her dress mode? Leave that to her parents.

But for Rahama, she obviously never heard the dictum by John F Kennedy, that “if you try to copy something, you will end up being the caricature of that thing”. There is beauty in our cultural dresses. Other Kannywood actresses that stick to Islamic and Hausa mode of dresses are more beautiful, stylish and appealing. They are more salable abroad.

Check the most beautiful actresses in Kannywood. Momme Gombe, Fati Washa,Aisha Aliyu Tsamiya, Halima Atete, Maryam Waziri and Hadiza Gabon. They dress cultural. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder but I daresay Rahama is not in their league. While they are cultural icon, Rahama is just a western copycat. You can’t beat the white in their own game. It is the reason why our musicians are making headway by using pidgin and vernaculars.

Salif Keita uses Bambara language in most of his songs. He is the most celebrated musician from Africa. Fela used pidgin and Yoruba. He is the most popular musician from Nigeria.

We made the best decision by letting Messi go—Barca president

By Muhammadu Sabiu

Recently, Barcelona president Joan Laporta insisted that it was best to allow Lionel Messi to depart the team.

Recall Messi ended his 21-year at Barcelona in 2021 when he departed Camp Nou.

Following the termination of his contract, the Argentina captain left Barcelona as a free agent.

Messi’s sad departure from the Catalan giants was prompted by a dire financial crisis the team was experiencing.

According to Goal, Barca’s president said, “I had to put Barca ahead of the greatest player in football history.

“In those moments of financial ruin, I could not retain him. I think it was the best for the club. Right now, he is a PSG player, and I prefer not to talk about him.”
