ARISE News Drops Anthony Kila Over Alleged Academic Credentials Fraud

By Muhammad Abubakar

ARISE News announced that political analyst Anthony Kila will no longer appear on its platform after a Premium Times investigation alleged he falsified his academic credentials.

In a disclaimer issued by its Editorial Board, the television network said it contacted Kila on October 3, 2026, over the allegations. However, he requested more time to respond and had not done so ten days later, according to the statement.

ARISE News said it was unaware of the allegations when Kila appeared on its platform as a freelance political analyst.

The network, which emphasised its commitment to credibility and integrity, said his continued contributions were no longer tenable.

“Mr Kila will not be appearing on our network now or in the future, effective immediately,” the statement added.
