A nine-year-old boy has allegedly set his family home on fire in Karasuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State, killing two women and two girls.
Police said the incident occurred on 21 August 2026 at Rugan Badali Fulani. The victims were trapped inside the house and sustained severe injuries, which led to their deaths.
The police said investigation revealed that the nine-year-old son of Idi was suspected of starting the fire. The command added that the boy confessed to setting the house ablaze, saying he did it for revenge after his father beat him over an allegation that he stole a chicken.
